Join WLCT staff as we take a stroll under August's Sturgeon Moon. The sun is starting to set a little earlier, and the near-full moon will rise over the oaks in the east at Westport Woods. Let's look and listen for some of the nocturnal activity of our wildlife neighbors. We will meet just prior to sunset and watch the moon as it emerges to illuminate the night as twilight recedes and the moonlight casts its glow. Who is this event for: • This is an all-ages event; families welcome. What to Wear & Bring: • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes • Weather-appropriate clothing • Bug spray • Water • Binoculars What to Expect: • About 1 mile in length • Minimal incline • Ground can be wet, with some exposed roots Parking: • Please park in the parking lot at Westport Woods.
