As temperatures drop and food sources become scarce, pollinators on the South Coast and in Southern New England communities start to decline. By October, most of the species that do not hibernate or overwinter as larvae will be “out of sight.” We’ll take one last look at the insects still poking about at Westport Woods. Join us for this final pollinator survey! Who this event is for: • This is an all-ages family event, for children or adults Parking: • Park at the Westport Woods parking lot What to Wear & Bring: • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes • Weather-appropriate clothing • Water • Magnifying glass, jeweler's loupe and other exploring tools if you have them What to Expect: • A very short stroll through the pollinator garden at Westport Woods • Minimal incline Restrictions: • No pets Please contact Aaron@WestportLandTrust.org, Land Connections Coordinator, with any questions.
